This was my first Jana Deleon cozy mystery and I thought it was funny as hell and had a great mystery. I found the ghost of Maryse's mother-in-law to be outrageous but hilarious. Her antics while learning to be a ghost are priceless. Poor Maryse hated Helena in life and now she's stuck with her ghost until she solves her murder. This is book one in the series, setting up the ghost/cozy mystery/contempo romance. It is a really fun read with such quirky and engaging characters. Get ready for an eccentric read!
Maryse is such a great character. She is sassy yet endearing at the same time. You really feel for her situation with the disastrous mother in law ghost. I love her analytical mind and how she tries to apply logic to the chaos.
