The wife and the four daughters of Baptist minister Nathan Price tell the story of their lives in the Belgian Congo during the time of regime changes and over thirtysome years. Each narrator has a very different voice, which allows for a multi-layered approach to a complex, emotional read.

Loved Adah's palindromic perspective, but each voice was unique.
