This was a fun and sometimes heartbreaking read that I quite enjoyed! Harriet Pomeroy is more interested in her fossils than finding a husband. When she discovers stolen loot being stored in a cavern she is excavating, she summons the land owner, Gideon Westbrook, Viscount St. Justin, to take care of it. Gideon left Upper Biddleton six years ago after his former fiance killed herself and he was blamed for her act, and hasn't been back until the unique demands he receives in Harriet's letter. Gid
