Harriet send for the absent landowner when she discovers thieves using her fossil caves and wants him to take care of it. Gideon had avoided the place as it is where he was named The Beast of Blackthorne Hall as it is rumored his fiancée killed herself after he scorned her after she told him she was with child.
He lays a successful trap, but ends up compromising Harriet while trying to save her. Now all wonder will she suffer the same fate.

This was such a cute romance.
I'm fairly certain I've never read an Amanda Quick book before, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I dived into this one. But I could not get enough of Harriet and Gideon. They were so protective of each other that it made my heart soar.
