This is not a new plot: angels (not exactly angelic) v. demons (very demonly) fighting for souls but I enjoyed this first book of the Fallen Angels series by JR Ward. The writing was fast paced, once I got past the first 100 pages or so. In true Ward fashion, there is lots of background info to get through. Ward melds the new characters with existing characters from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, but only on the peripheral. It was fun trying to pick out the BDB characters, i.e., Trez, Phur ...more
