Butch is a good character but his wooing for Marissa was just sad because she just annoyed me throughout the story. She just couldn't be honest with her feeling for Butch or just having the guts to even be tough enjoy to say what she wanted. The only time I was impressed with her anger was when she told he brother off and when she spoke up at the council meeting. All the other times she just annoyed me. I understand that she was kind of kept in a bubble but come on, you lived all those years and ...more

“I liked you, cop. From the moment I met you. No… not the first moment. I wanted to kill you when I first met you. But then I liked you. A lot.”

5 stars. My notes for this book are a mess. Seriously, a good 98% of is just “Holy hell look at my ship sail! Look at them go! It’s beautiful omg!” and the other 2% is notes about how cruel J.R. Ward is for teasing me with such a perfect ship. This woman has my heart and soul right now and I’m okay with that.

Honestly, I really only loved this for all

Some of my fav. Quotes and some of my thoughts while reading this book;

22.0% “At the air lock, he looked back over his shoulder. “Don’t think I was the only reason he healed. You’re his light, Marissa. Don’t ever forget that.” The Brother’s eyes narrowed. “But here’s something to keep in mind. You ever hurt him on purpose and I will consider you my enemy.”

28.0% “How do you like to be touched?”
“If it’s you, any way.” .

38.0% “Marissa could only nod.
“Like I said, your brother really pisses m

In this fourth book, we are all about Butch and Marissa. While I still loved this book and super love this series, I'm torn on how I feel about it. Marissa is as aristocrat as aristocrat can get but it has left her ostracized and with no one to really talk to. Butch is basically a kept man. He lives with the Brotherhood with all the benefits but he can't really be part of the Brotherhood because he's human...or is he?

Grrrr Butch and Marissa. Both love each other and even though they have finally

Lover Revealed is the fourth book in J. R. Ward's popular Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I was looking foward to this one because it's the story of Butch and Marissa. In contrast to the other books in the series, Butch O'Neal is a human and former detective. He got too close to one of their operations and now he knows too much. In an earlier book Vishous, who often gets visions of the future, dreamed that Butch will have some role in their future. He's now living in the BDB compound but can ne ...more

2.5 stars.

I had a hard time liking this one. Not much love for the main characters. The only reason i kept on reading was for the little snippets on characters that were secondary to this book in the series.
What a disappointment after the sizzling 3rd book in the series.
