What Members Thought

This wasn't the worst thing I've ever read, however it wasn't a literary masterpiece either. It went quick because honestly it wasn't what I would call very taxing on the brain. Vampires, sex, crime, a brotherhood, more sex, a couple of women, some more sex, a bad guy or two, and did I mention the sex? I think if you eliminated all the sex you would have cut the book in half. I think it would have been a better book as well. Some of the stuff in here was really unbelievable...seriously unbelieva

I have waited a long time to pick this up, but now I felt like reading something completely different and with the rave reviews I could not not read this. It was not at all what I expected. I have tentatively tried out the paranormal romance genre and with a few exceptions I didn't think it was for me. Boy, was I wrong!

4 stars. I remember really enjoying this when I first read this four years ago and I enjoyed it a lot now. This was a great read and a fun start to the series.
I really like J.R. Ward's writing and the setting of this book was very scenic and I had no trouble picturing the big city life.
My absolute favorite part about this was the characters. I remember liking Beth a lot (still do, she's great) and Wrath ...more
