Lillian Bowman and Marcus Masden, Earl of Westcliff

I can't even put into words exactly how much I loved Lillian and Marcus and Lillian and Daisy. The relationship between the sisters made me smile and laugh, and the chemistry between Lillian and Marcus was hot. It didn't matter if they were arguing or having a moment of passion.

While I really liked this one, I had originally planned to continue on with #3 in the series immediately. However, after St Vincent, who is the hero of the next book played the part of an actual villain (and not just some jerk with a heart of gold crap that can be forgivable) I have a hard time mustering up any enthusiasm to want to hear his romantic story.

A typical historical romance set in 1840s England, it is the second in a series of four. The Wallflowers, as they call themselves, are now working to get brash, outspoken Lillian Bowman married, after having been successful with Annabelle. A contentious earl finds her to be a woman a bit too much like himself, and yet has been drawn to her since they first met. Despite his misgivings and hers, they find common ground and a love that transcends the expectations of his mother, the peerage, and and ...more

After the Wallflowers first successful match, they are anxious to find a titled man for Lillian Bowman. Unknown to them Marcus, Earl of Westcliff had no problem noticing Lillian the first time, too bad he finds her so frustrating and unsuitable to be his bride.

Of course it was all about the journey and the Wallflowers were diverting with their madcap schemes. I loved Lillian and really enjoyed her scheme with the perfume and their scientific results. I liked Evie's poking her head out of her sh
