I have already read the first two books in this series and quite liked them. I also enjoyed this one.

Poppy spends her third season in London waiting for her beloved Michael to officially propose. She and her family are living in the hotel of Harry Rutledge. One morning Beatrix's ferret stoles a love letter from Michael and runs away. While Poppy tries to catch the pet she meets the mysterious owner of the hotel. This meeting changes everything.

The likeable characters are the best part of this st

My original review in 2013 I am in LOVE with the Hathaways.
My reread review in 2017 Of course I fondly remember snippets of Poppy and Harry's story, which played out so very different from her sisters' HEA.
Well worth revisiting them again. Still 5 stars!
And more family revelations!!
And more Leo, Kev, and Cam ♡

Historical romance. 5 stars

The Hathaways are too great! And Poppy was no exception. This was a refreshing delight! So funny and romantic - and I can't wait to read Bea's story. If it was a color it would definitely be peach. Light, warm and delightful!

By chance, Poppy meets the

I just love the Hathaways. This book focused on Poppy who has been quiet and unassuming in previous books, but she has such a sweetness and core of steel that I found her particularly attractive. Her plan to marry Michael Beyning goes awry when Harry Rutledge (owner of the hotel where they are staying) discovers her and decides to get involved. He's handsome (of course), strong, intelligent, and a little (maybe more than a little) villainous--exactly my kind of hero. Th

Poppy Hathaway was waiting for Michael Bayning to approach his father about marrying her, while keeping their courtship clandestine. In the meantime she catches the eye of hotelier, Harry Rutledge, who thinks she would make him the perfect wife. To get what he wants he tells Michael's father of their relationship. Michael is a peer and the Hathaway's are low on the aristocratic list. Michael is told to break it off or be disinherited. He does. To save her pride Poppy attends the last ball of the ...more

I really liked the love interest in this one, Rutledge is awesome because he is flawed and not this perfect guy. A bit dangerous and snaeky.
