This book was so beautiful. It is more in style with the Gamblers series than the Wallflower and Hathaway series. Merriden and Win are meant to be. Merriden has the most terrible background imaginable and he is scared. Very scared. He is scared that he will hurt Win. He is full of hate and mostly towards himself. He does not believe he should be loved. Win is back from her rehabilitation after the scarlet fever and she wants to live life and she wants to live it with Merriden. I adored how she p ...more

It was a nice but short story of the relationship between Win and Kev.

Win goes to France needing some special treatment after coming out of scarlet fever and Kev doesn't stops her. She comes back after few years and the doctor who treated her is with her hoping for convincing her to marry him. But Win hopes that now when she is stronger and healthier she and Kev will finally reunited. Unfortunately, things are more complicated between them and Kev has to work out some problems with his own feeli

#2 in the The Hathaways Regency romance

This is a good continuation of this series. As always, I was captured by the characters right away. Merripen is an unusual hero since he is a gypsy (like Amanda's husband Cam), and he has found a place in the hectic and loving Hathaway family. Merripen is very large, strong, rough, loyal, and thinks of himself as a "brute" because of his violent upbringing. The second visit to the unconventional Hathaway's answers the question of emotionally damaged Kev Merripen. Two years at a French clinic works well for both Win and Leo Hathaway. To the families delight, hey both return much like they were before the scarlet fever epidemic left Win frail and Leo on a path of self destruction.

Kev's convinced his love for Win can't be voiced. He's sure his Rom heritage would bring misery, ridicule and shame to her. Not to mention the isolation fr

Love this series. I really liked this one because it was about Kev. Great romance series and an easy, light read.

I liked this one but what stopped me from loving it was the constant back and forth with Kev. While I enjoy that to some degree I felt there was just a little too much in this story.

There were many scenes between Kev and Win that I loved and reread a couple times. One of my favorites was when Win was doing her exercises with her doctor and Kev didn't like that too much.

Good story, love the characters, I will definitely be reading this one again in the future.
