This is a good continuation of this series. As always, I was captured by the characters right away. Merripen is an unusual hero since he is a gypsy (like Amanda's husband Cam), and he has found a place in the hectic and loving Hathaway family. I so love the Hathaways. It's been a while since I read Amelia and Cam's book so I didn't completely remember their story, but I never forgot how after finishing I was hoping that Merripen and Win would end up together.
I knew that things were not going to be easy. I knew that there were things from Kev Merripens past that made him who he was and these same things he would have to struggle to get past.

Awwww..... Kev and Winnifred *sigh*. How sweet they are. This is a very touching love story that I just ate up. They fell in love with each other as children. And everybody knew they loved each other but nobody dare talk about it. It was the big elephant in the room. Since Kev was considered beneath her station he did not think he was good enough for her.
