As long as you are alive, there's always a chance things will be better.
I finally finished this book. I found it quite boring, all over the place. Everyone says this series are amazing and I fail to see the appeal. I like it, but I don't love it.
The book is told from everybody and their mama's perspective. We have Karou, her friends, Akiva and his siblings, that Sveva chick (view spoiler).

5 stars. Good grief this was a-freaking-mazing! I enjoyed the first book but this one was infinitely better than that one! I've finally found a series about Angels that I actually like.
I absolutely love Laini Taylor's writing style. It's so beautiful and gripping and kind of poetic and she paints a vivid picture of her world and characters. All of her characters feel like individuals and have their own distinct personalities. I didn' ...more

WOW!! This is one serious series. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love it. It has everything you would ever want in a book right between the pages. The whole book seems to drop a bombshell on you throughout the entire book. Maybe I'm clueless, but I have to say quite a bit caught me by surprise.
