I thought this one took yet another great turn, but I didn't like it as much as previous books. It just seemed a little too focused on the kidnapping and not enough focused on the interesting things, like (view spoiler) Although I guess the thing that bugged me the most was that we didn't get any answers with regard to (view spoiler)

Although I do enjoy the Mercy Thompson Stories, I think I'm beginning to get a burned out on them. I shouldn't have read the whole series one right after another like I did. One more to go and then I think I may be able to write a better review on the series in general.

Mercy gets by again with a little help from her friends. She needs help to rescue her wolf pact, protect the children and save the vampires? Ghosts abounds and her lamb is needed to send the lay the ghosts to rest.
4 stars. This was a very good and intense addition to the series. I also really liked that there were some chapters from Adam as those really did help me understand his character a lot more. I’ve always been on the fence about him but I actually liked him here and I wouldn’t be mad if he gets more chapters as the series goes on from here.
