After finishing Wild Sign I really wanted to go back and read the beginning of Charles and Anna again so I started with the short story Alpha & Omega and then this one. I had forgotten so much since it's been a very long time since I read these books and I enjoyed them just as much if not more the second time around. I'm not really a fan of shifters, I wanted to read it since it's linked to Mercy Thompson but I think I'll stick to Mercy without reading these. I didn't care for any of the characters. It was neat to know more about the universe tho. ...more

I didn't enjoy this one as much as I had hoped. I love the Mercy Thompson series. And while this series is similar, and runs concurrently with part of Mercy's world, it's different. You see more of Bran's world, how his pack is run. It just didn't keep me enthralled like the other one did. I enjoyed it enough to give the next book a shot though.
