3 stars. I definitely see the potential in this series. I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did Moon Called but it wasn't bad at all.

My main gripes with this book was that it was hard to get into. The beginning half of this was really boring and slow to me. It took a while for things to get going and then when it did I started liking it. Also, this has a prequel novella that goes along with this and people say that you have to read that first. I can't decide whether or not I want to give this 2 or three stars. I keep debating and changing it. I love Patricia Brigg's Book, however I did not love this one. It was ok. I loved the characters so that's not the issue. For some reason the writing in this one seemed off. It was almost like it was choppy, fragmented, and some sentence seemed to run on and I wasn't sure who was speaking.
