This was a great book, but as I am already a HUGE Mercy fan it comes as no surprise that I wouldn't like this as well. Cry Wolf is the first book in the spin off series of the author's Mercy books. Set in the same world but with a focus on a different pack. But with some crossover characters, for example Samuel and both Mercy and Adam themselves have mentions.

Also this was a re-read for me as I never continued on in this series and I hope to do so sooner then I had thought I would have gotten to

Anna is battered but not broken and Charles is the perfect mate for her!! I love this side series to Mercy Thompson! So well written and the pace is wonderful!! This is a great start to what I am sure will be a favorite series!!

It was really lucky I had read the first two Mercy Thompson books, as this story leads off from it. I think I would have felt a bit lost with it if I hadn't been familiar with the characters. But I really liked how the story begun and you had to piece together what had happened - who was Anna? What had happened to her? And how had she and Charles formed such a strong bond in such a short period of time? I really liked how we got to know the werewolves of Aspen Creek too, particularly the Marrok. ...more
