This book mainly dealt with the heroes struggles and how the hero and heroine overcame it for their HEA. There were many similarities between the first book and this fifth book in the series. Elliot is also mad as Ian was mad, but Elliot's madness is because he was captured and tortured for more than a year. His Indian servants and their devotion to Elliot was entertaining. Some mystery with a dead man coming alive to stalk made it more interesting.

Cela faisait trèèèès longtemps que je n'avais pas "rendu visite" aux Mackenzie, et j'ai été ravie de replonger dans cet univers si particulier créé par Jennifer Ashley !

J'ai toujours un faible pour les héros torturés/blessés (psychologiquement), et ici, avec Elliott, j'ai été "gâtée" en la matière ! I love a broken hero story, and Elliot McBride definitely fits the bill. He's a hot Scot in a kilt, which makes it even better! Elliot is Ashley's brother, and he had gone to India to fight. He ended up living there and was captured by a local tribe and tortured for a year. Julianna St. John is getting married, but it turns out the groom has married someone else!
