Wow, these MacKenzies are really tortured souls! This is the story of Cameron, who's nasty late wife (possibly both a sex addict and suffering from postpartum depression) made him not trust women. And what she did was horrible enough that the guy should have had nightmares for the rest of his life.

Ainsley for her part, is a lady in waiting to the Queen. She has the nasty habit of getting caught in Cam's chambers - it seems everybody likes to hide stuff in there. I thought she was a

This is a great addition to the series. I love this series and I definitely wasn't disappointed with this book.

Ainsley has met Cameron six years ago when she was stealing a necklace one of his mistresses. They kissed but nothing happened because she couldn't betrayed her husband. Still, they couldn't forget about each other. Now, Cameron once again finds Ainsley in his bedchamber, this time she is a noble widow. And neither of them deny the desire between them.

There were many parts of this book that were contradictory. Cameron was the strongest MacKenzie brother; the first one to stand up to their father physically. He didn't put he

I am so glad I picked up this book. I started to give up on the series after reading Mac's and Isabella's story, because it wasn't up to par with Ian's and Beth's. Good thing I forged ahead, because otherwise I would have missed out on this gem.

I have always been curious about Cam and this didn't disappoint. Cam and Ainsley's story was full of humor and a bit of intrigue, as well as hot sex.

One of things that I am starting to like about this series and this author is that she didn't shy away fr

Enjoyable book and enjoyable romance. Both hero and heroine were likeable. I also liked that the heroine's personality and interests didn't match with where she was in life, and that the story gave her some space to stretch her wings a little, so to speak. One strange thing though was that every time the book mentioned Lord Cameron's younger brother, the focus of the first book (The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie), I wished I was reading that one instead. So I think I WILL read that one again, ver ...more
