What Members Thought

Isabella and Max started their marriage so quick and ferocious but when their loss caused them to separate for such a long time they thought that being away would cause a change in how they feel for each other. Well when they see each other all those feelings return but will they be able to realize that they belong together. This was a sweet story.

I loved the first book in this series The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and this one is as great as the previous one.
First of all, you like the characters imminently. I really liked that Isabella and Mac still love each other and they are not afraid to admit it. They are a complicated and three dimensional characters. The idea of reunion is one of my favourite romance plot so it worked well. The suspense part, however not very developed, is an interesting addition.

For this second installment, glimpses of Isabella & Mac's romantic meeting and marriage are interspersed with their current relationship, giving a good understanding to the couple. These very likeable people are just as charming and intriguing as they were from the previous peeks at them. Both Mac and Isabella still love ea ...more

I'm usually not a fan of a second chance at marriage romance novels, but I found myself rooting for them.

Mac and Isabella have been separated for three years and Mac wants his wife back. When Isabella discovers someone is passing off forgeries of Mac's paintings she approaches him about it. He brushes off the accusations but uses her appearance to find a way back into her life. I love the MacKenzie family - they are fun and interesting and entertaining. And Mac and Isabella are hot, hot, hot!! This was a great story with an intriguing mystery included.
