I loved the first book in this series The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and this one is as great as the previous one.
First of all, you like the characters imminently. I really liked that Isabella and Mac still love each other and they are not afraid to admit it. They are a complicated and three dimensional characters. The idea of reunion is one of my favourite romance plot so it worked well. The suspense part, however not very developed, is an interesting addition.

I really enjoyed Isabella’s and Mac’s story. Their road to redemption began in the previous book, but this one obviously focused on them specifically. I would have liked to see more into Isabella’s life prior to Mac and the fallout following her elopement. Seeing the progress Lord Ian has made since meeting Beth was wonderful also. The four brothers, while wild and independent, truly are a unit and care for each other deeply. I’m looking forward to getting to know Cameron better in the next inst
