This novella occurs simultaneously to Andrea Nash's adventure in Gunmetal Magic. It follows Kate Daniels while she looks for the means of removing a gold collar from a young boy's neck which is being crushed by the collar. The adventure leads her to a brawling Viking, an undead draugr, and eventually the smithy who forged the collar. Another great story.
