Another winner.
Love the developing relationship between Kate and Curran, Julie having a part to play in the story, the supporting cast of characters, and Kate's heritage becoming more prominent.
Favourite scenes:
- picking Julie from her archery lesson at school
- Dali being stuck as a tiger. Also taking out the vampire
- the hot tub scene ;)
- destroying the blood sword
- the note at the end :o

#3 in the Kate Daniels paranormal series
Wow, this series is definitely getting better and better. The first book was so complicated, but now that I've become accustomed to the world they live in, I'm much more comfortable and can concentrate on the characters. Kate is a definite kick-ass woman who can muster a lot of magic, depending on the situation. In this book we learned a lot more about her back story and can understand her nature. Curren, the Beast Lord, is becoming the awesomely sexy alph ...more

Some days my job was harder than others.
This book begins with Kate trying to talk an elderly banshee down from a telephone pole and presents one of my all time favorite statements.
Unfortunately, no matter how well you hide, sooner or later your big secret will bite you in the behind, and you might find yourself standing on a telephone pole, not sure why or how you got there, while the neighborhood pretends not to hear your piercing screeches.

What an amazing installment! First off, the build up between Kate and Curran is killing me! I know it is going to blow soon, but the wait is killing me! I really enjoyed how well this story progressed and pulled on not-so-mainstream mythologies. There was so much going on, but it all wove together into an heart-stopping ride from page one to the very end!

For a series that started so slowly for me, the improvement is astronomical. A fantastic installment, nice to see Kate interacting with so many people. I love Kate. I don't yet love Curran, but we shall see what happens. So many people love the future relationship and you were right about how good this book was, so I will withhold judgment. :D
