Oh. My. God. Can this series possibly get better? I can't believe it, but yes it can. And I'm only on book #3??? In this book, Kate gets involved in some seriously violent illegal gladiator games, Derek gets himself in hot water and the sexual tension between Kate and Curran builds yet again. Kate is at it again and does she ever get herself in trouble with Curran in this one. Whooeee! Kate doesn't make friends easily but she proves to herself in this one that when she makes a friend it is for life and they will back her up no matter what. This is a no holds barred Roman collesium gladiator fight to the death with all kinds of were-creatures. All storylines are solved except one which means there will be a book 4. I have to say that I am glad I stuck it out. I was much more captivated by this book then the last two. FINALLY after two books we get a (small) little development on Kate and Curran's relationship!! The action has never been a problem in these books but this one was finally balanced with a little more romantic tension to give it substance. I am actually looking forward to the next one now!!

What an amazing installment! First off, the build up between Kate and Curran is killing me! I know it is going to blow soon, but the wait is killing me! I really enjoyed how well this story progressed and pulled on not-so-mainstream mythologies. There was so much going on, but it all wove together into an heart-stopping ride from page one to the very end!
I loved it. When I first started this series of urban fantasy I thought I would not read all three books. This book was the best so far. It was fun and exciting reading. Some of the secrets come out in this book. I hope that a book 4 is written.
