This was such a sneaky book. It crept up on me and made me love it!
At first I found the changing perspectives frustrating and was trying to link everything together but once I started treating the chapters as short stories which shared characters it all started to fall into place and I allowed myself to get lost in it. It's been a rough few days here in San Antonio, TX. No power (in single digit temps with no generator or fireplace, nothing for warmth but blankets) for three days straight and no water for over a day. Today was the first day since Sunday night when I wasn't panicked and filled with anxiety every second of the day. I was able to have some warm tea today and flush a toilet so things are looking up.
