I don't know how to rate this book. At times I loved it, and at times I hated it. The start was so engaging - a beautiful kleptomaniac with whom it's impossible not to empathize. I have to admit upfront that the only reason that I read this was that it fulfilled part of a reading challenge and was available at my local library. It was a bonus that it was part of the goodreads bookclub.
I really did not like the first couple of chapters and almost gave up. I started to enjoy the book only from chapter 4. This was probably one of my favourite chapters. I liked the setting and the way you found out what was going to happen to a certain character during the rest of their life ...more

For some reason I kind of just wanted this book to be over. I understand why so people like it, however this isn't my kind of book.
