I love this book. I realize that it's a fluff piece and it won't do to delve into it deeply, but that is basically the appeal of the book. It deals with the makeover of a parson's daughter, stiff and prim, who comes into contact with the glamorous side of life and changes herself. Guinevere Pettigrew is a lovely character, and one roots for her to get the best out of life right from the beginning. Love this book, I enjoyed the friendship between the main characters and how they developed over 24 hours as well as how Miss Pettigrew helped and changed Miss LaFosse life for the better, and as well as how Miss LaFosse helped and change Miss Pettigrew life for the better, while having fun to.
I watch the film that was based on this book first and now that I have read the book, I loved the book as much as the film! I can't choose which I enjoy more; so they tie for first place. ...more
