I enjoyed this book. It reads more like a series of short stories linked together by common characters than as a novel but that is part of what makes it interesting. The book focuses on Kate and her friends who undertake a series of life challenges. Each chapter focuses on one of the woman, her challenge, and her responses to it. Over all a very satisfying book that is not a light read but at the same time is an easy one; it flows readily through even over the rough patches.
