What Members Thought

I have read this book 2 or 3 times (actually, maybe 3-4). I enjoy it every time and will re-read it again at some point.
The author, Harper Lee, shows a true, deep understanding of the human condition, and group dynamics, and how the two interact. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and the way that they interacted with one another and how they fit into a plot which is both simple and complex at the same time.

One has to remember the time period when this book takes place; and be IN that time period while reading. A great storyline of one's growth...in a history of injustice, and daily questions of morality, humanity, and a stance for beliefs.
Loved Scout's bluntness, boldness, and overall attitude throughout. Adored Atticus-a man with more to his character than meets the eye. ...more
