Well...this is awkward...DNF...I am not one who DNF's...like ever...
The story is a little too out there for me. I am not one who likes fantasy that much and if I do, it really has to be amazing but I couldn't keep things straight. So many people love this book and want to read it, and the cover art is amazing on the whole series; this is what drew me to the books in the first place. I know I am going to be one of a few who didn't like this but I just couldn't get through it. :(

So upon reading this a second time I just love it so much more! I grew a lot more attached to the chat characters and I think I was able to pick up on more things that I didn't catch the first time around. I really can't wait to see how this story continues. I'm expecting a lot of heartbreak and epic fights! Bring it on! ...more

The writing is absolutely beautiful and the author did such a wonderful job mesmerizing us with the setting and the characters. But then we hit the whole flashback segments and I found myself a little bored and had to push myself to finish it. The enchanting story seemed to have disappeared BUT it did manage to show up again in the last section. So I will definitely be reading the next book ...more
