I was really looking forward to this book since I loved Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society so much. The idea of being able to hear more about the island Guernsey was very appealing to me and the book did not disappoint. When I started it, I felt a little like I was coming home. GREAT BOOK! It was dramatic and really made you think of what you would do in a similar circumstance. it was light on the romance and heavy on the the circumstances surrounding Vivienne and her family. The ending was heartbreaking and bittersweet. A really great read,
This is a very lovely and compelling book. It is a wonderful love story set in impossible circumstances. It is a very worthy read.
