Kiss of Midnight was a great book, reminded me of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series, which is a complement. I personally found this book to be better then the first BDB.

This was a good book but it was so much like Black Dagger Brotherhood series that I can't really give it more than 3. I really liked the characters but I didn't get a emotionally invested as I do in the BDB books. This was a fun start to a new series! I saw a review that said this is an imitation of BDB. I can see the parallel, but I can still see enough differences to appreciate this story and series on its own. Looking forward to the next book!

3.5 stars. I'm a sucker for a good vampire romance with a stubborn woman and a warrior vampire falling hard. This is the story how Lucan Thorne, the warrior leader of the Breed vampires, falls for a human woman, talented photographer, Gabrielle Maxwell.

I am wondering why it took me so long to start reading this series.

I really enjoyed this fresh take on Vampire's origins, their society, and their mates. I think that this is the first time that I have read this particular take on the subject, but I liked it. It always interesting to get a fresh perspective and I love to see where the authors imagination will take me.

I think that this was a great introduction in this series. Lucan is the leader of the Breed
Warriors and the oldest, so I felt tha
