Ruby Red was a really unique read. I loved the whole time travel aspect of the story and the characters were nice. There is a little bit of danger/mystery in Ruby Red which I liked a lot - it definitely kept me on my toes during those scenes. :)

There were some swear words (d-word, a-word, and h-word) in Ruby Red and "Oh my G**" was said a lot; both of those things I didn't like but, since it's mainstream YA, I wasn't really surprised by it. I just wanted to point it out for people who have the s

I enjoyed Ruby Red even more this second time reading it. I had forgotten so much of the story, it was almost like reading it again for the first time. I can hardly wait to finally read Sapphire Blue -- soon! :D

I enjoyed this so much more than I expected! I didn't mind the teenage protagonist at all - in fact, I found her endearing and the story interesting. It was a very FAST read, really good pacing. ...more

I can pretty much sum up this book with one onomatopoeia: eh. It was just eh.

It started off awesome! I was hooked right away. The main character wasn't awesome, but I figured I would warm up to her. And the plot was interesting enough. But at about half way through the book, it just went downhill from there. The plot started to lose steam, I started disliking the main character even more. Characters I had originally liked I started disliking.

Then I stopped reading for two days because I had a bu

I guess I was expecting more. This is the first translated novel I've read. I liked it but it didn't blow my mind.

I feel like sometimes it just dragged on. I actually stopped reading it for a couple weeks with only 30 pages left cause it just wasn't keeping my attention like I wanted it to. The big cliffhanger at the end is probably the only reason I'm going to read the next one. It left me with more questions than it really answered, which is great in a series.

I really enjoy this book, the time travel aspect especially. Gwyneth was a very likable character and so was her friend Lesley. Gideon at first seemed to be a bit of a jerk, but my opinion of him improved as the story continued. The ending definitely makes me want to read the next book in the series.

This book was AMAZING!!!! I loved the plot and the characters of the story. The plot was very fast pace and I could not put the book down once I got started. I had to keep reading to see what happens next. I now can not wait to read the next book. I know I will not be disappointed.
