While I don't read a lot of historical fiction, I love the genre immensely. This was recommended by my cousin and I picked it up and was hooked from the first page. The book takes place in 2002 Paris with flashes from 1942 WWII Paris. You grow to learn about a Jewish child through those flashes and through the research of the modern day journalist. You learn what became of that child and her family and how it intertwines with the lives of the modern day journalist, Julia and her In-Laws family. ...more
