I listened to the audio version of this book, narrated by Janet Song. I'm torn with my rating for this book. I found it quite interesting, although the narration was fairly straightforward and sleep-inducing. But that could partially be because she was representing the main character, a true Chinese woman of the times--quiet and obedient and subservient.
