Glad I didn't pay attention to the reviews comparing this to the Dresden Files series, since I seriously dislike those books. This, to me, was more on par with Mercy Thompson or Kate Daniels, both of which I'm a huge fan of. ...more

This was something fresh and new. I liked Atticus and loved Polish witches. It was a funny read. I will definitely read the other books in the series.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. This was an extremely fun read and a lot lighter than I think

The Edith Wharton diss was unnecessary and kept the book from being perfect. :P However, it was close. So funny. So entertaining. So exciting. Love Atticus. Love Oberon - but don't forget to have your poodles spayed or neutered.

Definitely will be continuing with the series.

Excellent start to a series. Two thousand year old Druid, Atticus, lives in Tempe, Arizona as a 21 year old bookshop owner. Lots of Celtic myths with gods, goddesses and legends. Oberon, the Irish wolfhound, is one of my favorite characters. Very glad I have the next two in the series to dive into. 4.5 stars!

I think it might have been the narrator that I didn't like so much. Unless he was doing the voice of another character he was very monotone. I liked the story though. ...more
