Okay wow this was a heavy book. I gave 5* not because I enjoyed the book but rather that it made me think that this kind of thing possibly happens on a daily basis because of parents who force their children to grow up quicker than they should. How many kids find themselves in a similar hopeless situation and turn to each other for the comfort and love that their parents should be giving them. Maybe 3.5 ?

This is one of these books that I don't know how to rate... I didn't loved it but didn't hated it either. 3 stars seems too low and 4 maybe too high? I don't know I'm kinda conflicted with this one.

It felt too much like Romeo and Juliet too me. I'm not a fan of romance and this one is so shocking ! I find it important tho. We need more YA books to be about taboos, it makes us think and I actually learned a lot about incest. ...more

Took me a while thanks to this great reading clump I've been in, but holy wow! I have never had tears streaming down my fave while reading a book as I did with this! Sheer insanity!
In general I was very conflicted throughout the entire book as to whether to root for them or not. Their relationship makes sense in their own personal way, but as probably most other readers am not one to support an incestuous relationship. 4.5 Stars. Holy Crap! It's so wrong to like this book, the subject is so taboo and the author masterfully does a job that will leave this book with you for a very long long time. This is a tragic story, and an amazing work of fiction.

I'm utterly speechless that a writer would have the moxy to write such a story and have the skill to pull it off. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when publishers were sent the manuscript for this tale. Kudos for having the courage to publish this. ...more
