What Members Thought
Jonas is waiting with all the other Elevens to get his job assignment. He is number 19 in his group. Each person is called up in turn. Jonas is getting ready to be called up, when they skip him and go to the next person. Finally after all of the other members in the group are assigned they call Jonas up. Jonas is going to be the new Receiver. He isn't real sure what that means, he just knows that everyone is beginning to treat him differently.

AMAZING! In Language Arts, we learned about utopia for half the year and it was the worst and i had learned to hate it. This book changed my mind, and that is a hard thing to do.
The ending is just amazing. Such an unusual book but written very well. Understandable that it is on the Great American Book list!
