What Members Thought
This is different than what I usually read and was a fun book. Lyra was so fun, such a courageous kid to want to travel north and find her friend. I loved her friendship with Iorek, he is one of my favorite animals from books of all the time. I loved the way humans had demons in this story, everything about this book was so creative! The next one should be fun too, when we learn more about dust.
I liked it but, unfortunately, I did not love it....I am disappointment in myself because I really really wanted to love this and for it to be a sort of new Harry Potter for me (in terms of loving the word and the characters etc.). But I was not so invested in the story and I did not love Lyra. However I loved the entire concept of daemons!
I will keep going and read the other 2 books in the series because this was a good book and I want to continue with the story but I am just not exited about ...more

Fand ich so toll und spannend, aber leider nie die Reihe beendet. Ob es an der nicht so tollen Verfilmung lag?
