Too Close to Home was another great suspense read! Having read two of Lynette Eason's newer books (When the Smoke Clears and When a Heart Stops), I was excited to finally read one of her older novels.

The mystery was really good and I loved that I was actually able to guess correctly about who the killer was! The case was very attention grabbing and there were m

I don't know how I missed noticing that more people had shelved this as Christian Fiction than anything else. If I had, I'd known it wouldn't be my cup of tea, and wouldn't have started it. I don't mind religion in my fiction. However, when part of the point of the book is to witness for a particular faith, then to me that detracts from the story.

Too Close to Home is romance, mystery and christianity all rolled into one.

The story started off interesting, but very quickly became boring and was thus a chore to read. The people behind the crimes were glaringly obvious to me, from the moment each was first seen in the story I was suspicious of them and couldn't believe the characters didn't feel the same way. The romance in the story happened too quickly, especially with everything that was happening. The ending ended too neatly. Overall, it was an easy read, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Great suspense story of a widowed law-enforcement father of a 16-year-old daughter who is investigating the disappearance of teenaged girls and a black market baby ring. Lots of soul searching on part of father and daughter as they try to find their way back from critical estrangement. Probably a good book for a teen to read in order to show how online predators work and the importance of family.
