I really liked Home Front by Kristin Hannah. This is a new-to-me author and I can't wait to read other books by her. I haven't been this emotional with a book in a while. It took me back to a time when my husband was in the Marine Corps: the pride felt every day; serving a wonderful country; leading young men of character.

However, there were a few issues that I didn't agree with.

This was a beautifully written book. I couldn't stop crying. There aren't words that I could say to explain the sadness of this book. It was a heart warming story too. I kind of shows you or at least gives you an insight to what goes through the lives of our veterans and all our men and women that go to war and what happens when they come back. 2.5 stars. This book redeemed itself in the last few chapters, before that it would have been a 1 star. It started off with a bang, then turned into a sniveling book of "he doesn't love me anymore". The tweenie daughter drove me nuts and I thanked God all throughout reading this that I had sons. Everyone seemed to whine, a lot.
