A story of war and the toll it takes on soldiers and their loved ones left here at home. I read this book pretty quickly and cried through most all of it. One problem was it ended rather quickly and it seemed like all the problems were taken care of pretty quick also. I know from seeing my mother and father deal with the VA that getting help is not that quick at all.

Amazing book!! I started crying pretty much as soon as she got the news that she was deployed and continued on with the Kleenex firmly by my side until I read the last page!!

I picked this up at a Friends book sale, not realizing I had read it before. It didn't take long, once I got into it to realize it sounded familiar. This time, though, I read it from a different perspective, now having a grandchild who is in ROTC.
