Wow!!!!! I absolutely loved this book..im so ashamed that it sat on my shelf for so many years. I absolutely loved the characters and there were so many twists and turns I didn't know what was coming next. It's a long one but so worth the time!!!! Amazing book. Even though I re-read this book in Greek my review will in English.
I love Jennifer Donnelly's writing. With this book I traveled back to time of the end of the 19th century. It is a captivating, engagin and heartfelt book.

Fiona Finnigan works in a tea warehouse on the shores of the Thames in 1880s London. Jack the Ripper is terrorizing Whitechapel, but Fiona and her family have troubles of their own. This started out strong but ended with a whimper. The book just didn't live up to the opening chapter. I felt the ending was really contrived.
