Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark

This is still a 5 star read for me, but I realized that some of my perceptions of certain situations changed as they come to Katniss. just felt like rereading this to confirm once again that katniss is an aroace queen and everyone trying to push the love triangle is oblivious to reality

Other than the first-person point-of-view, I enjoyed this book. The subject matter is pretty horrific but I liked the main character and I look forward to the next two books in the series.

Outstanding book. Deserves all the awards and accolades given. Even though classified as a Young Adult book, it appeals to adults just as well. Wonderfully written - especially interesting for those who are interested in post-apocalyptic projections of the future world.

I liked this book. It was set in the future. Appeared to be a grim future with the government keeping people in line with fear and lack of food. Female lead is another likeable character-can be soft, but independent, tough.
