These books are my Roman Empire. Reading this again even now that I'm older I am still just as in love with Peeta and just as enamored with Katniss. The whole HG world resonates so strongly.

Oh my goodness, I LOVED this book!! I have books that I really enjoy reading but this one I just didn't want to put down. And that is a surprise because when I first read the cover and found out what it was about, it didn't seem like my kind of book. I'm usually not into worlds that don't really exist and fighting.
The storyline was excellent and it left us hanging at just the right spot. I loved the colorful descriptions the author gave the people who lived and worked at the Capitol.

What makes this book great is that it is not a cookie-cutter novel. You did not know what would happen in the first 100 pages. Can't wait to read the rest.

I almost had to give this 2 stars because the editing was horrific! I wanted to take a red pen, make corrections and ship it back to the publisher. It was horrendous and, unfortunately, took a lot away from the overall experience.
What saved this book was the plot and concept of youth's experience with war. I thought the idea was brilliant and I liked the character development. I'm interested to see where this goes in the next books... ...more

Wonderful as always. I love reading my favorite books in different mediums. On a tablet...then on audiobook...then hardcover. Its a little different each time. Still loved it. There is so much more love for Peeta and Rue in the audiobook, I felt. When I read on a tablet, I was way more pro-Gale but now....Peeta all the way.
