2023- Audiobook. This is the second time I have read this. I was not sure I ever would, due to how heavy the last third of it was. And yeah, I am feeling it right now. Especially having read this back-to-back. I feel very invested. This book messes with you. I get why Katniss has trust issues and the hits keep coming! While I suppose the ending has a very real feel to it, it is also sad. If you are looking for "Happily ever after," look elsewhere.

Despite my expectations, I really enjoyed the first two books in the series. This final book was a waste of time. I could hardly get through it and was planning to abandon ship, but a couple (so-called) friends convinced me to continue. It was slow-paced and just flat, nothing like the first two. I get that Collins had to put a bow on the series but I wish she would've taken her time and come up with something that measured up to the first two.

This book was AMAZING!!! I thought it was a great way to end the series. The plot was very well written. And the characters were very developed and I thought each character got what they deserved, but I do have to say only character did not get what they deserved. I wont say who since I don't want to give away anything for those who have not read it.
