In a sense, this was the best book in the trilogy. It was dark, gritty, horrific and thought provoking, managing to remind us of important lessons from our history: that war is not a game, that in a war any atrocity can be justified if it brings victory, that there’s no glory in killing innocent people, that the faces of a revolution/movement can outlive their usefulness (see Che Guevara or Malcom X), how revolutions sometimes are as bad as what came before (see Russia and Cuba) or ...more

A good finale to the Hunger Games trilogy. This book focuses on the rebel battle and how Peeta is treated after being taken by the capital. Katniss develops well as the mockingjay. I think the author did a really good job at depicting grief. I really liked the ending and thought it fit well with the series.

I love the way it ended. I couldn't be happier with how the series played out.
