This is the third book I've read by this author. After the first one I didn't think I'd read another but I try to give an author at least two tries. So very glad I did. This one derives from Russian folklore and is creative, interesting and fun. Just wish I knew a bit more about Russia.

I bought this because Catherynne Valente came to Finland this year and I wanted to get her signature. I chose Deathless because the story seemed interesting. That was about five months ago and now I have finally read Deathless and I loved it! The writing is so beautiful and the story goes from creepy to sweet so fast that it almost makes me dizzy. This is definitely staying in my permanent shelf and I need to find more books from Valente.
