Really enjoyed it. Love the alternate history types of books, always intriguing. Great characters.
I find myself at a loss for how to review this book. Many Goodreads friends have recommended this book and others seem to absolutely love it. I liked it, but didn’t love it. The story was sound, but the overuse of SAT words made me feel inadequate as I listened to the book. The world built for this series is interesting, but I found myself not understanding how a soulless person seems to have so much compassion and empathy.
