Definitely kept your interest right from the beginning. Coming back home isn't always fun especially when your arch enemy is just as annoying as she always was and then being accused of killing a person you didn't really know, now that's ridiculous but finding out who did murder the doctor is quite intreging when there's other things going on in between. I couldn’t what for Ella Mae to find out who she really is and also those delious pies too. Pie are my favorite and reading about them sounded

This was an okay stereotypical cozy mystery. Nothing special about it at all (even the magical pies were just meh). The stereotypes were all there. The main character wasn't very bright and didn't have much depth to her. She kind of accidentally stumbled upon the killer. It was fine for a mindless read as long as you're not expecting too much out of it.
