I particularly liked this book in the series because I enjoyed the character of Bobby Callahan, Kinsey's client. Someone had attempted to murder him, he believed, but because he had been gravely injured in an car accident, he couldn't remember much about it. This posed quite a problem for Kinsey since she couldn't unravel the mystery with her usual methods and had to discover the facts of the case in other ways. 3.5/5.0 - It's a tribute to the author that this series holds up so well more than thirty years later, and the references to typewriters, pay phones, and taxis continue to charm me. But, did x ray machines really come with user manuals?

Puisqu'on sait dès le début que le pauvre Bobby va mourir, je trouve que ca démarre très lentement. On apprend pas grand chose d'intéressant et il faudra attendre le chapitre 11 pour arriver à l'annonce de sa mort.
Par contre, on en apprend un peu plus sur Kinsey et son passé. J'ai bien aimé l'intrigue annexe avec ses voisins. ...more
